We have over a decade of experience developing and operating energy projects in Mey in Scotland. We are excited to be able to build on this to develop and own a battery storage project in the area.
The Project
In January 2026 the Mey BESS project was granted Section 36 consent by Scottish Ministers. The Consent permits the development of a battery energy storage facility with an installed capacity of up to 300MW/1,200MWh, comprising containerised battery units and ancillary infrastructure.
This critical site has huge expansion planned for onshore and offshore wind and our own tidal stream project, making it a perfect location for a battery storage project.
